Background in Fashion Design & Innovation Management. Skilled in Concept Ideation. Experienced in Brand Development, Project Management & Product Management.

My Background

A former Fashion Designer, retrained in Innovation Management. Applying the design thinking methodology in multiple ways - from ideation to prototyping, from creating to problem solving, for products and brands.

During the 5 years between my first degree BSc Fashion Design (at Fu Jen Catholic University) and my second degree MA Innovation Management (at Central Saint Martins), I gained extensive industrial experience from small design studios, brand agencies to apparel brands.

Until the Sustainable Mindset Dawned on Me

While studying Fashion Design Technology in London Colleague of Fashion (2017-2018), I developed my constant interest in Sustainable Fashion through a Kering sustainable fashion certificate programme and by assisting Post Carbon Lab in workshops and exhibition preparation in 2019 London Biodesign Here Now. Following the refreshing experience, I created Symbiosis (2018) for MA Material Future. Built on a post-global warming scenario, this biodesign project visualised a world where humans have to share the space and live with algae in various ways.

However, instead of continuing my field research as a designer, I decided to explore the concept of sustainability in strategic branding world.

Change As A Driver of Innovation, Innovation As a Driver of Change

Since the launch of sustainable development in 1987, the idea of SD has become more than just a trend or attitude. It's becoming a must do for businesses to show their care towards their end consumers. Yet, truly sustaining a virtuous fashion circle requires attention and participation from governments, institutions, brands, even you and me. Change is the driver of innovation, and vice versa. With this idea in mind, my new focus is leveraging cross-field innovations to maintain the momentum of sustainable movement in the creative industry.

Bringing Out the Best Through The Brand Consulting Role

During my time studying at Central Saint Martins, I had the opportunity to complete four cross-field projects with professionals from around the world. One of the highlights was creating a business model centred on eco-social innovations, which became the basis of my research. However, it wasn't until I restarted my career in Taiwan that I experienced a profound turning point in terms of improving my skills in branding and management.

After completing my degrees, I joined MARKiT as a brand consultant in 2021. The flexible role allowed me to manage projects across diverse industries, and polish my skills in brand positioning, style development, website planning, and workshop facilitation. With my strong sense of responsibility, I ensured the smooth execution of all projects, and my keen eye for design made me a valuable asset to the designer team.

Prior to relocating back to the UK again, I gained valuable experience as a brand coordinator in an import business, where I furthered my skills in business coordination, financial projection, and performance analysis. This experience also allowed me to reach a new level of proficiency in completing brand books independently.

With my passion for creative production and care for people, I hope to bring more positive influence to the world through my work. Although I am currently a full-time brand specialist, I still work in part-time project coordination, to help bring together world class creatives to achieve great things together. If you fancy working on eco-social projects or would like someone to refine your ideas from a different perspective, let's chat over a cup of tea or coffee. :)
